HK just had a Legislative Council (HK's legislature) by-election this past Sunday.

Whom did I vote for? Candidate no.6 Ling Wai-wan.

Reason? Simple.

Just check out her election platform posted above or you could read it here.

What's next?

Please kindly leave your suggestions in the comments section on how we could help. Thanks!

Particularly worrisome is pan-democrats' sole focus on the importance of one person one vote scheme (yes, that applies equally to those who call themselves lawyers. I am willing to bet with you that no one, absolutely no one from the pan-democratic camp has ever read any Hayek, not to mention Mises and other classical liberal writers like Edmund Burke), whereas the more important topic of how to limit the power of the government is totally ignored.

That's why I am a skeptic all alone on the whole democratic movement in HK. And yes, even in my Apple Daily days if you still remember some of my writings back then.

Dr. Shiu, I'm Ling Wai-wan. Thank you for voting me. I'm so glad to know that I gained support from a highly professional economist as you. It's nice. Thank you!
